Welcome to Turku Cathedral! The Cathedral is open every day of the year 9am - 6pm. Please note that during events it is not possible to walk around in the church. The entrance is free.

Turku Cathedral is located in the historic center of Turku. Paid parking spaces are available around the church, with access via Hämeenkatu through Akatemiankatu and Kerttulinkatu. Please note that parking spaces are indicated. If there is no indication, it is not a place for parking.
The cathedral is easily accessible by bus from multiple directions. Click here to visit the Turku region traffic service (Föli) website and plan your route. Bus number 1 runs between the city center, the harbour, and the airport. From the market square, it is a few blocks walk to the Cathedral.
Turku Cathedral is a house of God and a place of worship. We kindly ask visitors to behave respectfully, maintaining the peace and solemnity of the space for those who wish to pray. In Finland, it is customary for men to remove their hats when entering the church hall. Modest clothing is expected regardless of gender. Eating and drinking are not allowed inside the cathedral.
The Holy Communion is open to all baptized Christians, regardless of denomination, according to their own conscience. Weekly Masses are celebrated at the following times:
The bread used in communion is gluten-free (check separately for the English service). If you prefer not to receive the wine, you may either leave the table after receiving the bread or remain and indicate your preference to the pastor when they approach with the cup.
